[Prof. Dr. Craig Calcaterra](https://www.metrostate.edu/about/directory/craig-calcaterra)

Craig's research in mathematics has focused on abstract dynamical systems, particularly dynamics and geometry in metric spaces--flows and foliations. This led to my interest in complex modeling for decentralized business networks using smart contracts and blockchain platforms for hosting digital business tokens (representing money, equities, securities, & commodities). With programmed business contracts, tokenomics may be analysed to predict the effect of changing parameters of rewards and punishment when democratically governing decentralized businesses called DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations).

He worked in brain-machine interface research labs (BMIST) and startups (BIOS) and as a photolithography recipe engineer at Micron Technologies. Jonathan started working with Dr. Wulf Kaal in 2021 and co-founded Science Publishing DAO, to decentralize academia’s prestige economy and improve publishing “health,” with Dr. Craig Calcaterra in 2022.
